A start-up challenge for budding entrepreneurs – ‘Take Off’

‘Take Off’ is an ideal platform for aspiring entrepreneurs with remarkable start-up ideas. ‘Take Off’ is a start-up challenge co-hosted by the UPES School of Business and Runway, a start-up incubator.

UPES – ‘The University of Tomorrow’ is a multidisciplinary university that focuses on innovation, entrepreneurship, and learners’ digital readiness to satisfy the demands of the economy and industry. It offers industry-aligned and specialised graduate and postgraduate programmes through its eight schools.

RUNWAY is a start-up incubator that works with businesses within and outside the institution. Through a combination of mentoring, networking, and access to finance, it fosters ideas, offers funding, and assists them in transitioning into strong, scalable, and profitable enterprises.

All aspiring entrepreneurs and young business minds are encouraged to enter the competition by submitting their venture pitch/idea by May 11, 2022. The challenge will be held in four categories:

  1. Digital and Emerging Technologies
  2. Urban Mobility
  3. Direct to Consumer
  4. Social Impact

By May 18, 2022, 15 of the finest concepts will be shortlisted after being evaluated against predetermined criteria.
