Debarata Das, director, IIIT Bangalore, reveals the significant rise in the number of girls applying for PhD in STEM subjects. They have received more applications from girls in research, and girls dominate in selection ratios.
“Girls are doing excellent in technological research as they are focused, hard-working, go to the fundamentals of the subject, have team spirit and good analytical and logical thinking skills,” says Das.
