Students who appear for International Olympiads, undergo intense training and preparation. However, most of them prefer studying abroad. In an attempt to retain these students in India, IIT Kanpur is considering Olympiad performance as means to admit students without JEE Advance. At present other than JEE advance GATE, CAT, CSIR NET, JAM, HSCEE & AAT are some of the common routes to IIT.
