Tailor’s daughter bags Women in STEM scholarship to build a sustainable future

Aisha Ali, the daughter of a tailor father and homemaker mother, received the British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM.

This is an opportunity for women from selected countries to pursue a fully-funded master’s programme in STEM at one of the 19 participating universities in the UK.

From Palakkad in Kerala to Glasgow in Europe, the journey was just a roller coaster ride for her. 

Aisha did  BTech in Electromechanical Instrumentation and Maintenance Technologies from NSS College of Engineering. She opted to pursue her passion for Renewable resources and chose MSc Sustainable Engineering: Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
