Trivia Of The Day!

People began paying for domain names in 1995 after a company called Network Solutions was granted the right to charge for them. It was also expensive, with two-year registrations starting at $100.

A fee of up to 30% of this was paid to the National Science Foundation for the creation of a “Internet Intellectual Infrastructure Fund”. Later, in 1997, charge was reduced to $70 for two years.
